Including your origins in your language learning process is the best technique

During my second language learning process, I always felt like a foreigner in class. I am an afrodescendant born in Catalonia, Spain with senegalese roots and I always wonder why I had difficulties acquiring the vocabulary and pronouncing certain words. It was at that moment when I realize that I should look for words and sounds similar to the new language to learn faster.

The fact that I assume my intercultural identity and that I do the previous action, not only make me gain fluency but also confidence and self-esteem while learning languages.
